There is a compound interest of reputation.

We all know the principle of compound interest for money.

Just keep adding interest to the principle sum.

And over time, the sum gets bigger and bigger.

And so more and more interest is added.

And so the original sum just keeps on growing and growing.

Well, you can apply the same principle to you and your reputation.

Each promised kept.

Well, that gets added to all the others you have kept.

Each time you tell your wife that she inspires you.

That will get added to all the other times you have told her.

Each time you do a piece of work that stands out.

That just gets added to all those other ones you have done.

A Film Star who has a series of hits will then get given all

the best scripts.

And so his chance of having even more hits is increased.

A businessman who has made lots of money will be offered

better deals to make even more money

A band that does 2 great albums in a row will have complete

creative freedom to create the third and the fourth.

It’s the opposite of a vicious circle.

So look after your reputation.

And it will look after you.
