You are stronger when you are flexible.

A tree will see many storms.

The trick is to have strong roots.

The other trick is to bend, to not resist the storm.

Don’t fight the storm.

Feel its force.

But go with it.

Flex. Sway. Bend.

David,

I'm loving your blog, thanks so much for sharing. Your post reminded me of Robert Frost's beautiful poem "Birches": http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/birches/

I'm a big fan of your writing and the example you have set through your career and wanted to ask if you would be interesting in contributing to a project I run. There is a short introduction here: http://www.guardian.co.uk/education/gallery/2009/sep/25/student-advice-posters

Please don't feel any obligation, but do let me know if it's possible to get in touch with more details.

Many thanks again,

john
